site.btaBulgarian Students Win 13 Medals at Informatics Competitions in Romania

Bulgarian high school students won 13 medals at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) and the Romanian Master of Informatics (RMI) international competition in Bucharest, the Ministry of Education and Science press service reported on Tuesday.

Twelfth-grader Atanas Dimitrov studying at Sofia School of Mathematics won a gold medal at both BOI and RMI. Tenth-graders Boris Mihov and Aleksandar Gatev, who represent the same school, also won medals.

Tenth-graders Vesselin Markovich from the Varna High School of Mathematics a silver at BOI and gold at RMI.

The teams were led by Katalina Grigorova and Iliyan Yordanov.

The Bulgarian students at RMI won two gold, five silver and six bronze medals, ranking second behind the hosts from Romania.
