The Bulgarian Memory Foundation launched Monday a new social and information campaign. Titled “On both sides of the border”, the initiative aims to draw public attention to the need for a correct and committed state policy in the direction of good neighbourliness and friendship between the countries, the foundation said.
As part of the campaign, the foundation will present its model of working to improve relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
Among other things, Bulgarian Memory Foundation Chairman Milen Vrabenski is funding a five-day visit to Bulgaria of young people from the St. Cyril and St. Methodius Children’s Art Atelier in Bitola. The group, also comprising school students from the Rhodopes, are scheduled to visit Koprivshtitsa and Sofia, and engage in a number of artistic activities, educational lectures, besides having lots of fun.
In support of the campaign, the young people will present their drawings on the subject of “On both sides of the border” at the National Assembly. The exhibition will aim to show what the relations between the two countries should look like through the eyes of youth.
A month ago, students from the Republic of North Macedonia paid a two-day visit to Sofia at the foundation’s invitation.
