Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou will pay a state visit to Bulgaria on Thursday at the invitation of President Rumen Radev, Radev's press secretariat said. The two heads of State will discuss deepening the strategic partnership in various fields such as economy, energy, culture and tourism, as well as the cooperation between Bulgaria and Greece in the EU and the South-East Europe region.
On Thursday morning, Radev will welcome Sakellaropoulou at an official ceremony. The President of Greece will pay respects at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
After this, the two presidents will hold a face-to-face meeting, followed by plenary talks between the official delegations of Bulgaria and Greece.
The Bulgarian President will honour his Greek counterpart with the Order of Stara Planina with a ribbon for her services to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
After the ceremony, Radev and Sakellaropoulou will make joint statements to the media.
Sakellaropoulou is also scheduled to meter caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev and National Assembly Chair Vezhdi Rashidov.
