site.btaParliament Chair Rashidov to Confer with Turkish Counterpart Sentop in Ankara
National Assembly Chair Vezhdi Rashidov will confer here on Monday with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, Mustafa Sentop, at whose invitation a Bulgarian parliamentary delegation is paying a visit to Turkiye. Rashidov and Sentop are scheduled to give joint statements for the media after their meeting.
The Bulgarian delegation arrived in the Turkish capital on Sunday, where Rashidov conferred with Mustafa Esgin, who is a member of the Turkish Parliament's friendship group with Bulgaria.
Rashidov and Sentop will lay wreaths at the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk before their one-to-one session.
Plenary talks between the MPs from the two countries are also on the agenda.
Rashidov will also lay flowers at the monument to the victims of the July 15, 2016 failed coup attempt, located in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's building.
On the Bulgarian delegation are GERB-UDF Floor Leader Desislava Atanasova, Bulgarian Rise Floor Leader Stefan Yanev, BSP for Bulgaria Deputy Floor Leader Georgi Svilenski, and MPs Daniel Lorer of Continue the Change, Sezgin Mehmed of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, and Nikolay Drenchev of Vazrazhdane.
