site.btaBulgargaz, Turkish Botas Sign Agreement on Access to LNG Terminals

State-owned natural gas supplier Bulgargaz signed Tuesday and agreement with Turkish energy company Botas. The agreement was signed at a ceremony in the presence of caretaker Minister of Energy Rossen Hristov and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez.

The 13-year agreement will allow the Bulgarian company access to Botas's terminals and the gas transmission network.

Later in the day, President Rumen Radev is scheduled to meet with Donmez. 

Commenting on the negotiations with Turkiye for access to its LNG terminals, in an interview for BTA on January 1, Hristov said it has practically been agreed upon already. At the and of last year, he also said he expected the booked capacity at LNG terminals to reach 1 billion cu m a year.
