site.bta1.2 Kg of Cocaine Intercepted at Kapitan Andreevo
Over 1.2 kg of cocaine has been intercepted in a truck by customs officers at the Bulgarian-Turkish border, the Customs Agency said on Monday.
On January 8, an outbound Turkish-plated truck, driven by a 26-year old Turkish national, was selected for a thorough check during which a nearly 1.25 kg of cocaine was found under the driver's seat. The driver tried to flee but was detained after a short chase.
The man was searched and 21 grams of marijuana on him as well.
Pre-trial proceedings have been opened into the case.
