Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev is on a visit to Turkiye, during which he will discuss with law enforcement officials the fight against illegal migration and terrorism, the prosecutor's office said Tuesday.

In Ankara, Geshev is scheduled to confer with Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag.

The Prosecutor General and representatives of the Turkish prosecutor's office will have talks focused on criminal law issues of mutual interest and the fight against terrorism, as well as joint efforts to counter the increased migratory pressure in the region and disrupt the cross-border channels for this type of crime.
