site.btaQuake Near Lesbos Is Felt in Southern Bulgaria
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake epicentered some 4 southwest of the Greek island of Lesbos was felt in the southern Bulgarian region of Kardjali Tuesday morning, said the Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. No damage to property is reported in Bulgaria.
The epicenter was some 456 km from Sofia.
The quake was close to the region where several tremours of 4.8-4.9 magnitude were registered on January 7.
