site.btaBulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor Meets Turkish Interior Minister

Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev met here on Wednesday with Turkiye’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu. The two discussed actions for dealing illegal migration, Geshev said on Twitter.

The Bulgarian chief prosecutor said that he and Soylu have confirmed their desire for joint actions in that direction, as well as for guaranteeing the security of the Euro-Atlantic zone.

Earlier on Wednesday, Geshev and Turkish General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal Bekir Sahin discussed the cooperation between the two countries’ institutions. A meeting with Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag is also on the agenda of Geshev’s visit to Ankara.
