At a briefing here on Tuesday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov called on President Rumen Radev to immediately replace caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev. Borissov was commenting on Monday's shooting incident at the Bulgarian-Turkish border that left one Bulgarian border police officer dead.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kodzhabashev invited Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria Aylin Sekizkok to a meeting, in order to request cooperation with the investigation of the case of the Bulgarian border patrol officer, who was shot dead at the Bulgarian-Turkish border on Monday evening, the caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov told reporters.
