site.btaYouth Multicultural Centre to Be Established in Taraclia

An agreement to establish a youth multicultural centre in the Moldovan town of Taraclia was signed at the local BTA press club on Friday. Bulgaria will provide 90% of the funding for the BGN 137,000 project which was designed by the local government in Taraclia and will be implemented under the Development Aid Programme of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry. The area is home to a sizeable Bulgarian community.

The project involves repair and furnishing of the offices of the future Vasil Levski Youth Multicultural Centre, which are in the same building as the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre. The new institution will support youth organizations and help local teenagers and young adults.

A monument to Bulgarian freedom-fighter Vasil Levski (1837-1873) is planned to be installed in front of the building.
