site.btaBulgaria Becomes Favourite Route for Turkish Tourists
Bulgaria has become one of the most preferred travel destinations for Turkish tourists who have headed to the Balkans after the COVID-19 pandemic, the regional Turkish news site Ajans Manisa reported on Monday.
Excursions to the Balkans are an opportunity for Turks to get to know the culture and history of these countries. Many tourists travel on day visits to Bulgaria, and many travel agencies in Istanbul, Corlu, Tekirdag and Canakkale send buses almost every week to Bulgarian cities such as Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Nessebar and Burgas, while Bansko and Pamporovo are preferred for winter tourism.
Although most of the visitors (from Turkiye) journey to Bulgaria to learn something about the culture and history of the country, there are also many who want to "see the lands of their ancestors", writes Ajans Manisa, quoting visitors from Turkiye who share their impressions of Bulgaria.
